Anti-Smog Guns Deployed in Lahore to Tackle Pollution

Lahore: The Punjab government has launched modern technology to tackle smog, as anti-smog guns are now officially in use across different areas of Lahore. Their purpose is to reduce dust and pollution in the air and improve public health.
According to Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, the effectiveness of these anti-smog guns has been tested using an AI-based environmental monitoring system. The machines spray fine water particles into the air to capture dust and pollution.
She revealed that 15 anti-smog guns have been developed locally and are currently operational, while five more are being prepared. Each gun is connected to a 16,000-liter water tank along with a water purification system.
Aurangzeb added that the technology will not only help in reducing air pollution but will also assist in lowering the risk of respiratory and lung diseases.
